Français : Le quartier de la Baixa, durement frappé par le tremblement de terre de 1755, fut reconstruit par le marquis de Pombal suivant un élégant plan régulier. Il fait partie d’un projet d’inscription au Patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco, ce qui lui permettrait de valoriser ses beaux immeubles du XVIIIe siècle. La Baixa est limitée au nord par le Rossio, le centre historique, point de ralliement traditionnel des manifestations politiques lisboètes. |
